| HIST | formerly of Evans Street Date Published: June 28, 2008 BELLE B. EARLE ANDERSON – Belle Boggs Earle, 95, formerly of Evans Street, widow of Samuel H. "Jack" Earle, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Covenant Place, Sumter. Born May 11, 1913, in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Nancy Martin Boggs. She was a retired registered nurse at Anderson Memorial Hospital and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Surviving are two sons, Samuel H. Earle Jr. of New York and Joseph E. Earle and his wife, Jackie, of Princeton, N.J.; a daughter, Jackie E. Davis and her husband, Joe B. Davis Jr., of Sumter; two grandchildren, Tiffany Earle Bryan and her husband, Matt, of Greenville and Joe B. Davis III of Conway; and four great-grandchildren, Everett, Belle, Madeline and Elias Bryan. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mamie Marchbanks Jennings, Alma Boggs and Agnes Clamp. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, conducted by Pastor Robert Wilde. The family will receive friends at the cemetery after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 209 Broad St., Anderson, SC 29621. The family wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Covenant Place, the staff of Visiting Angels, caregivers Julia Boyd, Pat Clemmons and Mary Champagne, and a special friend, Mary DiGeorge.
