Born on Aug. 22, 1941, in Sumter, he was a son of the late John Marion Beasley and Mary Sue Lee Beasley. He was a member of Crosswell Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Discount Furniture Outlet and former owner and operator of Wayne's Speed Shop. He enjoyed auto racing and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include two children, Brad Beasley (Melissa) and Brittony Aycock (Billy), both of Mayesville; four grandchildren, Madison Gangwish (Brian), Britton Beasley, Olivia Beasley and Morgan Aycock; a sister, Terry Dutcher (Scott) of Sumter; a sister-in-law, Gwen Beasley of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise McElveen; and a brother, William K. "Ken" Beasley. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Crosswell Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Owens officiating. Burial will be at Mayesville Black River Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home, 22 Cooper Ave., Mayesville. Memorials may be made to Crosswell Baptist Church, 604 Mathis St., Sumter, SC 29150.
