BRYANT Sr. MANNING - Bobby Jordan Bryant Sr., 73, passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born Sept. 3, 1936, in Manning, he was the son of the late Sphinks Thomas Bryant Sr. and the late Pearl Hodge Bryant. He was retired from Campbell's Soup, and was of the Baptist faith. He dearly loved his family, church and friends. Surviving are three daughters, Minnie Gardner and her husband Robert of Sumter, Rebecca Bryant and Crystal Bryant of Manning; four sons, Bobby J. Bryant Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Jackson, Joseph Bryant of Beaufort, GA, William G. Bryant of Manning and Steven Scurry of Sumter; a sister, Rosa Bryant Southerly and her husband Ted of Summerton; four brothers, Joe H. Bryant and his wife Ann of Sumter, Sphinks T. Bryant, Jr. of Manning, Gerald F. Bryant of Manning, and William D. Bryant and his wife Linda of Florida; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning, with the Rev. Gene Mosier officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday one hour prior to the funeral service.
