| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina at death- she had 7 grandchildren, Mike Jr., David, Samantha, April, Chrystal, Sherri and James; and 16 great-grandchildren- Uldine M. Rogers Uldine McLeod Rogers, 85, widow of Benjamin Rogers, died Sunday, May 20, 2012, at her home. Born June 25, 1926, in Paxville, she was a daughter of the late Gary Everette McLeod and Jessie Marian Geddings. Mrs. Rogers graduated in 1943 form Manning High School. She retired as a secretary from Maxwell and Blackwell Furniture in Sumter. She was a member of Home Branch Baptist Church and loved to sew quilts for her family that she loved very much. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Rogers (Pam) of Okeechobee, Fla., and Mike Rogers (Rena Osteen) of Sumter; two brothers, Jack McLeod (Judy) of Ravenell and Charles McLeod of North Charleston; one sister, Jenny Cochran of Sumter; seven grandchildren, Mike Jr., David, Samantha, April, Chrystal, Sherri and James; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, James McLeod, Ray McLeod and Gene McLeod. Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Home Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Timothy Hudson and the Rev. Robert Haynes officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Brunson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Dudley Osteen, Chance Osteen, Robert Osteen, James Cochran, Charlton McLeod and Ray McKenzie. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of her son, Mike Rogers, in Sumter. The family would like to thank Tuomey Hospice and a special caregiver, Sellarhea Jordan.
