Roscoe Gibbons KINGSTREE - Mr. Roscoe Gibbons, 73, husband of Joyce McClary Gibbons, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Gibbons was born April 11, 1940, in Clarendon County, a son of the late James Andrew and Carrie Wallace Gibbons. He worked at Pepsi Cola for 33 years and retired as a supervisor. Roscoe was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and golf. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Kingstree. Surviving are: his wife, Joyce of Kingstree; two daughters, Tammy (Philip) Smith of Florence, and Melissa (Mike) Langmo of Lugoff; two grandchildren, Carolina Smith and Andrew Langmo; four sisters, Bea Boyd of Andrews, Frances Haigler of Lake City, Johnnie (Deams) Baylor of Bonneau, and Josephine Self of Oklahoma; a brother, Robert (Gail) Gibbons of Kingstree; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Roscoe was preceded in death by three brothers, Thad, Bannie and Ronald Gibbons, and three sisters, Roberta Burrows, Rhunette Thomas and Dorothy Gaskin. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, in the chapel of Williamsburg Funeral Home, with burial in Kingstree Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
