Jones, died on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at Sumter Grove Senior Living. Born on March 18, 1938, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Hudson H. and Olive Hancock Elmore. She was a member of Dalzell United Methodist Church and retired from Associates Financial. Survivors include two children, Belinda Ross and Blanding D. "Yogi" Ross Jr. (Gale), both of Columbia; two grandchildren, Jessica Ross and Lara Ross; and two sisters, Dianne Lewis (Billy) of Vance and Linda Patterson of Sumter. She was preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie Elmore. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with the Rev. Billy Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Attn: SC Gift Processing, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
