SCURRY Posted Sunday, February 14, 2016 6:00 am MANNING - Lillian Palmer Spigner Scurry, 91, widow of Benjamin David Scurry Sr., died Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at Tuomey Hospital. Born December 5, 1924, in Alcolu, she was a daughter of the late Labon Chappel Spigner and Jessie Dehon Mitchum Spigner. She was a member of Manning First Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Richburg (Wayne) of Brunswick, Georgia; a son, Ben "Buck" Scurry Jr. (Donna) of Manning; two sisters, Jessie McCabe of Alcolu and Margaret Whetsell of Summerton; four grandchildren, Mark Richburg (Ileana) of Hampton, Jamie Scurry of Manning, Craig Richburg (Lorraine) of Brunswick, Georgia, and Frances Scurry Owens (Brad) of Manning; four great-grandchildren, Brian, Cassidy, Mitchell and Lucie Richburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Dale Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Clarendon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ricky Clark, Bobby Jones, David McCabe, Edward McCabe, Terry McCabe and Robert Flagler. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home and at other times at the residence, 4545 Silver Road, Manning. Memorials may be made to Manning First Baptist Church, 49 W.
