Born Nov. 21, 1958, in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late John Mark Benenhaley and the late Lillie M. Benenhaley. She was a member of Crosswell Baptist Church and retired from the Sumter School District after 28 years of service. Survivors include two children, Nikki Miller Ivey (Brandon) and Johnny Miller (Jamie); three grandchildren, Lillie Ivey, Kerrigan Ivey and Addi Miller; one brother, Dean Benenhaley (Sara); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Cal Benenhaley and Cliff Benenhaley; and a nephew, Joshua Moore. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2024, at Crosswell Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Charles Owens and the Rev. Stephen Sanderson. Burial will be in the Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Peagler, Harold Benenhaley, Pat Buckner, Glenn Peagler, Henry Allen Benenhaley and Tim Benenhaley. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
