Miller, age 83, beloved husband of 63 years to Helga Reiman, died on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Prisma Health Tuomey. Born in Washington, PA, he was the son of the Harold Edward Miller and Mary Ruth Chase Miller. William served his country proudly as a member of the US Air Force where he received the Meritorious Service Medal for outstanding service. He retired as a MSGT after over 24 years of service. He then went to work for Becton Dickinson Company where he retired after 20 years of service. William was a Jamil Shriner Color Guard, a member of the Spring Hill Masonic Lodge where he was a Master Mason and was a lifetime member of the Midlands Retired Military Association (MRMA). William enjoyed the outdoors, his garden, and flowers, hunting and fishing. He loved his Pittsburg Steelers and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He reveled for several day after their recent World Series championship. His true joy in life came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Surviving in addition to his wife Helga, are a son, William Carl Miller and his wife Dyana of N. Santee, SC; a daughter, Barbara McPherson of Dalzell; a sister, Mary Margaret Goughnoar; five grandchildren, and 2 step-grandchildren, and four great grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by; two sons, Harold R. Miller, Ricky A. Miller; a granddaughter, Amanda Lee Felton and two sisters, Lorain Miller, and Sandy Allen. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at11:00 am in the Bullock Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service on Monday, February 14, 2022, from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Bullock Funeral Home. A reception will be held following the services on Monday at the MRMA Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Shiner’s Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605-4277.
