Holmes; a sister, Gertrude Folsom Marshall Keith; a son, Phillip Reese McCown; a daughter, Elizabeth McCown Gooch; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. With family at her side, Estelle peacefully passed away at home in Sarasota, Florida on Sunday, January 6, 2013. Estelle was born in Sumter, South Carolina and graduated from University of South Carolina where she was a Kappa Delta. After residing in both Richmond, VA and Atlanta, GA, Estelle moved to Sarasota in 1955. Estelle was a wonderful wife, mother and "granny" to her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Charles W. Holmes III; two children, Philip R. McCown, Jr. (Michelle) of Sarasota and Elizabeth "Betsy" Gooch (Steve) of Suwanee, GA; four stepdaughters: Linda Holmes, Karen Thompkins, Dr. Chris Burkhart (David) and Mary Holmes; her sister Gertrude "Hon" Folsom Keith; eight grandchildren: Alicia McCown, Clint Gooch (Haley), Austin Gooch (Amber) Brian Holmes, Nick Thompkins, Joseph Burkhart, Rebekah Burkhart, Jenna Holmes; and four great grandchildren: Caleb, Reese, Maddie and Caroline. Estelle was predeceased by her beloved brother, Lt. John Benjamin "Benny" Folsom and her beloved grandson, Steven Gooch. Estelle will also be sorely missed by her wide circle of wonderful friends who enjoyed her company at the Field Club, bi-weekly bridge games, investment club meetings and their regular Friday night supper group. The family expresses their gratitude to Tidewell Hospice and to Dr. Dean Hautamaki. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 10 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 40 N. Orange Ave. Services will be held Friday, January 11 at 10:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 2050 Oak Street, followed by a procession for interment at Sarasota Memorial Park. Andrina S.
