| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina Lever R. Gleaton Jr. Lever Randolph Gleaton Jr., 62, died Jan. 4, 2013, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Sumter County, he was the son of Louise Tisdale Gleaton and the late Lever Randolph Gleaton. He was a retired maritime captain and was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church. Surviving are his mother, Louise T. Gleaton of Sumter; a son, Jason Gleaton and his wife, Angie, of Sumter; a daughter, Kathryn St. Clair and her husband, Chris, of Daytona, Fla.; a brother, Bill Gleaton and his wife, Becky, of Land O Lakes, Fla.; and four grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Alice Drive Baptist Church with the Rev. Phil Ross officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the church and following the service at the home of his mother. Memorial donations may be made to Alice Drive Baptist Church, 1305 Loring Mill Road, Sumter, SC 29150 or to the Veterans Administration, 6437 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia SC 29209.
