LINNIE WEEKS
MANNING – Linnie Mae McAllister Weeks, 86, widow of Legrand Dickson Weeks, died Saturday, July 11, 2009, in McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Born Oct. 3, 1922, in Manning, she was the daughter of the late John and Frances Eugenia Newton McAllister. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Margaret Nunamaker of Manning, Joyce Gibson of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Barbara Denham (Mickey) of Darlington; a son, John Legrand Weeks (Kathleen) of Sumter; three sisters, Frances Hill of Manning, Aries Mitchum and Valarie Wilder, both of Florida; nine grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Morris Smith and the Rev. Mark Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning, and at other times at the residence of Margaret Nunamaker, 2602 Highway 260, Manning, SC 29102.
