| HIST | of Columbia, South Carolina MYER GEDDINGS JR. Posted Tuesday, February 4, 2020 6:00 am Myer Geddings Jr., 91, husband of Shirley Osteen Geddings, died on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020, at home. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Myer Sr. and Annie McLeod Geddings. Mr. Geddings was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and retired from the S.C. Forestry Commission after 43 years of service. Surviving are his wife of Sumter; and two sons, William Myer Geddings of Sumter and Joseph Benjamin Geddings (Renee) of Greenville. He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church. Online condolences may be sent to www.sumterfunerals.com.
