ALEX McCALL
Alex McCall, 86, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at White Oak Manor in Charleston.
Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Andrew and Mattie Nichols McCall.
Surviving are six sons, John McCall, Jerry McCall, Jimmy McCall, Johnny McCall and Benjamin McCall, all of Sumter, and James McCall of Columbia; five daughters, Betty Welch, Debbie McCall, Mary McElveen and Jeanette McCall, all of Sumter, and Carolyn Jones of Columbia; three sisters, Mattie Margaret Logan of Alcolu, Mary Alice Nabors and Jane Watts, both of Charleston; a brother, Johnny McCall of Alcolu; a stepdaughter, Johnnie Ann Hodges of Sumter; a stepson, Jackie Holiday of Charleston; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Larry McCall.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in Alcolu with the Rev. Kenny Griffin officiating.
