| HIST | Is the following the obituary of his daughter? Ola Mae H. Owens LAKE CITY -- Ola Mae Harrington Owens, 85, widow of John Philip Owens Sr., died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at her residence, after an illness. Mrs. Owens was born May 24, 1926, in Titusville, Fla., a daughter of William Frazier and Olive Mae Kirby Harrington. She retired from the S.C. Commission of Forestry. Mrs. Owens was a member of Woodmen of the World, Indiantown Presbyterian Church, and the Indiantown Women's Circle. In addition to her parents and her husband, Philip, she was preceded in death by an infant son, three brothers and one sister. Surviving are her children, Nancy O. (Ted) Peterson of Fort Valley, Va., Karen O. (Fred) Baxley of Chapin, Phyllis O. Steadman of Lake City, John P. (Fay) Owens Jr. of Columbia, Mary O. (Edward) Bell of Lake City, Pamela O. Gowdy of Greeleyville, Timmy (Debbie) Owens of Andrews and Sara O. (Mike) Todd of Lake City; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her brother, W.K. Harrington of Manning. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Indiantown Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Williamsburg Funeral Home in Kingstree. Memorials may be made to Indiantown Presbyterian Church, 4865 Hemingway Highway, Hemingway, SC 29554 or Southern Care Hospice, 217 Dozier Blvd., Florence, SC 29501.
