Foster, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Alexandria, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Max Foster and Lola Mae Carper Foster. Mrs. Langley owned and operated White’s Grocery for many years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include three children, Larry Langley and Ruth Dial Pritchard, both of Sumter, and Michael Langley of Bluemont, Va.; one sister, Barbara Pindell of Maryland; three brothers, Joe Foster of Alexandria, Max Foster of Kentucky and Thomas Foster of Arizona; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Olivia Grace Berry; and one brother, Ronald Foster. A memorial service will be held at noon Tuesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Florence National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
