SUMMERTON -- Willie Egeria Dingle Spigner, age 79, beloved wife of the late Luther Clyde Spigner Jr., died on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at her residence.
She was born in Summerton, a daughter of the late Wallace Dickey Dingle and Frances Broadway Dingle. She was a former resident of Manning but resided in Summerton most all of her life. She was a 2001 graduate of the Cathedral Bible College, where she received her master's degree in theology at the young age of 71 and was a member of The Gideon's International Auxiliary. She loved to study the Bible and was a member of the Lakewood Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Clyde Spigner III, and his wife, Lynn, of Summerton; a daughter, Frances A. Spigner of Summerton; a brother, Dickey Dingle of Summerville; two sisters, Hattie Dangerfield of Monks Corner and Bobbie Smith of Harrisburg, Pa.; two grandchildren, Jennifer Leah Carter and Luther Clyde Spigner IV; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Lakewood Baptist Church with the Rev. Samuel Thompson and the Rev. Pitts Evans officiating.
She will lay in repose in the church from 10 to 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Clarendon Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Coleman "Buck" Dangerfield, Henry Dingle, Robert Dingle, Chuck Hinson, Mickey Richardson and Mitch Towery.
Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Lakewood Baptist Church.
