Was he born in 1922 or 1924? jkh ELIJAH ABRAM Elijah Abram, 86, departed this life on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at National Healthcare of Sumter. Born Oct. 23, 1922, in Sumter County, he was the son of the late Senior and Delia Pinkney Abram. He attended the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Ebenezer Presbyterian Church (USA), Dalzell. He leaves to cherish his precious memories a sister, Rosa Lee Blanding; a sister-in-law, Thomasina Abram; and a brother-in-law, Richard Blanding, all of Sumter; and a number of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Thelma Dow Jenkins, Mary Abrams, Dora Abrams, Mollie Mickens and Katie M. Abram Rembert; and four brothers, Edward, Junius, Arthur and Richard Abrams. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church (USA), 4620 Queen Chapel Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Dr. Ernest Jackson, officiating, eulogist. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Rosa Lee Blanding, 14 W. Bartlette St., Apt. 114. The remains will be placed in the church at noon. The funeral procession will leave from the home at 12:20 p.m. Floral bearers and pallbearers will be members of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Family.
