| HIST | of Alcolu, South Carolina Nettie G. McCall Nettie Grooms McCall, 85, widow of Richard McCall, died Jan. 5, 2013, at her residence. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Furman Grooms and Verlie Rodgers Grooms. Mrs. McCall was retired from Korn Industries. Surviving are two brothers, Furman Grooms Jr. and Robert Grooms, both of Sumter; three sisters, Lillian Sims, Grettis Welch and Dorothy Geddings, all of Sumter. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vermelle Singleton and Mary Costner. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. William Griffith and the Rev. Ron Underwood officiating. Pallbearers will be Ken Wixey, Mark Welch, Andy McCall, Ronnie Geddings, Robbie Singleton and Daniel Lyles. Burial will be in the Trinity Methodist Church cemetery in Alcolu. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
