LOGAN ALCOLU - Mattie Margaret McCall Logan passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning. Born June 20, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mattie Nichols McCall. She was married to the late Sam Oliver Logan. She was a member of Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church and was well known for her Sunday dinners and homemade biscuits. Surviving are five sons, Wayne Logan (Vickie) of Manning, Larry Logan of Manning, Andrew "Bucky" Logan, Ronnie Logan and Kevin Judy (Dawn), all of Alcolu; two daughters, Evelyn "Tutti" Logan of Alcolu and Pamela Collins of Manning; a brother, Johnny McCall of Alcolu; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Pee Wee Logan; a daughter, Jessie Ruth Judy; and twins, Faye and Ray Logan. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Revs. William Kevin Cribb and Sammy Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning and at other times at the residence, 1963 Pinecrest Acres, Alcolu.
