HAYDEN Beatrice Ray Hayden, 64, widow of William Albert Hayden Sr., died Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, at her home in Sumter. Born Aug. 27, 1940, in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Furman and Ruby Wilson Ray. She was a member of Boulevard Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are three sons, Bill Hayden Jr. (Laura), Jody Parks (Darlene) and Fred Parks (Joyce), all of Sumter; two daughters, Sally Shirer (George) of Sumter and Debbie Covert (Mark) of Soda Springs, Idaho; two brothers, Gene W. Ray of Florence and Charles Ray of Switz City, Ind.; one sister, Ruth Jeror of Sumter; 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday in Boulevard Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Bill Watts officiating. Burial will follow in the Sumter Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium, 515 Miller Road, Sumter. Memorials may be made to Boulevard Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 1405, Sumter, SC 29150, or to Hospice Care of the Tri-County, 1236-B Wilson Hall Road, Sumter, SC 29150. Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning is in charge of the arrangements.
