LANCASTER - Mrs. Mafalda "Fad" Wilson Dillingham, 88, died Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City, N.C.
The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. Ernie Thompson and Samuel N. Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park. A native of Lancaster, Mrs. Dillingham was a daughter of the late James Stephen Wilson and Elizabeth Williams Wilson. She was the widow of Rex Howland Dillingham Sr. She was a retired bookkeeper for Wilson Gas and Oil Co. A graduate of Queens College in Charlotte, she attended Chicora College in Columbia. She was a former volunteer for the Mental Health Association, a member of the Red Rose Book Club, Waxhaw Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Lancaster Garden Club. She was member and elder of First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Rex H. Dillingham of Columbia and Dr. William Stephen Dillingham of Santa Clara, Calif.; a daughter, Patricia Dillingham Brown of Floyd, Va.; a sister, Jimmie Wilson Mullis of Lancaster; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
