GULLEDGE Margaret Randle Richardson Gulledge, 81, wife of Clarence Jackson Gulledge Sr., died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, at her home. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late William Jasper Richardson and the late Mary Elizabeth Richardson. She was a graduate of Greenville High School, attended Lander College and was a graduate of Furman University. Mrs. Gulledge was a member of Wedgefield Baptist Church and was a retired teacher from Sumter School District 17. Survivors besides her husband of 58 years include two sons, Clarence Jackson "Pebble" Gulledge Jr. of Wedgefield, and William Randle Gulledge and his wife, Sharon, of Sumter; one daughter, Garland Nettles and her husband, Larry of Sumter; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Hewer C. Richardson of Greenville; and one sister, Isabelle R. Collins of Americus, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today in the Wedgefield Baptist Church with the Rev. Darryl Davids officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Trey Gulledge, William Gulledge, Lance Nettles, Edmund Nettles and Jackson Nettles; and a nephew, Richard Gulledge. Memorial may be made to Wedgefield Baptist Church, 6220 Wedgefield Road, Wedgefield, SC 29168. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
