| HIST | of Columbia, South Carolina at death- she had 3 grandchildren MARY BECK WEST COLUMBIA - Mary Alice "Dink" Siddall Beck, 75, widow of Frederick Baggs Beck Jr., died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at her home at Still Hopes in West Columbia. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Bernard Andrew Sr. and Mary Baker Siddall. Mrs. Beck was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross, where she was a former member of the Vestry, a former Senior Warden and member of the Anna Simmons Chapter. She was a graduate of Edmunds High School and a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She was a member of the Stateburg Literary and Musical Society and a member of the Sumter Art Association. She was also a former board member of Sumter Machinery Co. and a former board member of Still Hopes Episcopal Home. Surviving are a daughter, Holly Beck Freestone of Flower Mound, Texas; a sister, Mildred "Tag" Siddall Johnson of Pawleys Island; a brother, Bernard Andrew "Ruck" Siddall Jr. of Nanning, China; and three grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross at Stateburg with the Rev. Tommy Allen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church Parish Hall following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross Restoration Fund, 335 N.
