| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina RICHARD DALE ALFORD Posted Saturday, June 5, 2021 6:00 am Richard "Ricky" Dale Alford, 67, died on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Howard and Audrey McLeod Alford. Mr. Alford was a retired Allstate Insurance agent and a former Sumter County IPTAY representative. Surviving are two brothers, Mike Alford (Debby) and Ken Alford (Beth); a sister, Marianne Jeffords (Reuben); and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; special niece, Wendi Lavina (Patrick); special friend, Ken Warren; and a special cousin, Anne Dennis, all of Sumter. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with the Rev. Allen Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
