| HIST | of Turbeville, South Carolina LILA BAIRD WINGARD Posted Thursday, October 4, 2018 6:00 am TURBEVILLE - Lila Baird Wingard, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House, after an extended illness. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Turbeville Southern Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the home of Keith and Cheryl Wingard, 1469 David Chalmers Road, Turbeville. Born in Turbeville, she was a daughter of the late Raleigh Lorraine Baird and Ethel Corbett Baird. She was a graduate of Turbeville High School. She retired from Holiday Inn, where she was a general manager for 30 years. She was a member of Turbeville Southern Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Heyward Wingard; a daughter, Patti Wingard Osborne; and five brothers, Clyde, Herman, Mark, Cecil and Will Baird. Surviving are two sons, Randy Wingard (Jackie) and Keith Wingard (Cheryl), both of Turbeville; a son-in-law, Randy Osborne of Turbeville; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
