EUGENE HARRELSON ALCOLU -- Haskell Eugene Harrelson, 88, husband of Agnes McInnis Harrelson, died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning. Born June 13, 1917, in Green Sea, he was a son of the late Samuel Haskell Harrelson and the late Mattie Blanche Anderson Harrelson. He was a member of Clarendon Baptist Church, a retired farmer, and a man who adored his family. He is survived by his wife of 65 years of Alcolu; three sons, Samuel Haskell (Linda) Harrelson of Moncks Corner, Russell McInnis (Brenda) Harrelson of Alcolu, and Michael Eugene Harrelson of Moncks Corner; a daughter, Melba Faye (Larry) Carraway of Sumter; a sister, Dorothy Harrelson Hawes of Elizabethtown, N.C.; 10 grandchildren, Denise (Jonathan) Jones, Heidi (Kevin) Acker, Russ (Dawn) Harrelson, Deena (Wesley) Boothe, Holly (Eric) Montalvo, Katie (Matt) Metz, Bryan Carraway, Alison Carraway, Oliver Harrelson and Jennifer Harrelson; six great-grandchildren; special caregivers, Lottie Gray and Hester McFadden. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. Kirk Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow in Clarendon Memorial Gardens, Bloomville Highway, Manning. Pallbearers are Kevin Acker, Wesley Boothe, Bryan Carraway, Russ Harrelson, Oliver Harrelson and Jonathan Jones. Honorary pallbearers are the Men's Bible Class of Clarendon Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to noon Friday in Stephens Funeral Home in Manning, and at other times at the residence, 2383 Spigner Road, Alcolu. Memorials may be made to the Building/Bus Fund, Clarendon Baptist Church, P.O. Box 307, Alcolu, SC 29001. Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory of Manning is in charge of arrangements.  [2]
