| HIST | of Manning, South Carolina of Sumter, South Carolina Dale Michael Forrest Dale Michael, 85, husband of Myrtle Snyder Michael, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at his home. Born in Mineral County, W. Va., he was a son of the late William Henry Michael and the late Minnie Brafford Michael. Mr. Michael was a member of Santee Baptist Church. He retired from Portec Inc. in Aspinwall, Pa. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a past master of the Zaradatha Lodge in Pittsburgh. Survivors include his wife of 62 years; a son, John D. Michael (Janet) of Halifax, Va.; a daughter, Thelma “T.J.” Jones-Clark (Douglas) of Sumter; three grandchildren, Christian Jones, Erik Michael and Amanda O’Neal; and a great-grandchild, Michael O’Neal. He was preceded in death by five brothers, James Michael, Arthur Michael, Alston Michael, Harry Michael and Emmet Michael; and two sisters, Leatha Judy and Midge Bill. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Eldreth officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Members of the Sumter Masonic Lodge No. 364 and Claremond Masonic Lodge No. 64 will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, 210 Muscovy Trail. Memorial contributions may be made to Santee Baptist Church, 12954 S.C. 260, Manning, SC 29102. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of arrangements.
