PARKER Wilma Lamb Parker, 79, widow of George Parker Jr., died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Jessie and Birdie Pate Lamb. Mrs. Parker was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are two sons, R. Vincent Parker of Sumter and Bill G. Anderson of Lincolnton, N.C.; three daughters, Wilma Jean Parker and Joan Faye Truett, both of Sumter, and Linda Ellen Stamps of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; one sister, Janie Lee Kosh of Effingham; two brothers, Cecil Lamb of Sumter and Mack Lamb of Manning; five grandchildren, Terry Truett, Teresa Truett Tolson, Michael Armstrong, Tony Anderson and Michelle Bradshaw; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Allen Parker; two brothers, Levon Lamb and Jessie Lamb Jr.; and two grandchildren, Edmund Anderson and Robert Anderson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Cribb officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at 220 Macy St. Online condolences may be sent to www.sumterfunerals.com.
