Born July 5, 1918, in North, she was a daughter of the late Sidney Wallace and Bertha Reed Connelly. Mrs. McElveen was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was retired from Riley & Co. Surviving are a daughter, Lynn Johnson Williams (Ron) of Hilton Head Island; two grandsons, Seth Williams and Tyler Williams; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Sidney W. Connelly Jr. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Dr. James Chandler officiating. Private burial will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 219 W.
