GOFF Sr. Posted Sunday, October 15, 2006 8:00 pm Lawrence Edward Goff Sr., 72, husband of Mary Griffin Heriot Goff, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Richland County, he was a son of the late Andrew Lloyd Goff and the late Louise Bradley Goff. Mr. Goff was a retired insurance agent and security officer. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for eight years. He was a Baptist. Survivors besides his wife of Pinewood include three children, Larry Goff and Marcy G. Burnett, both of Sumter, and Jonathan G. Heath and his wife, Heather, of Myrtle Beach; four stepchildren, Sara Heriot Padgett and her husband, Dean, of Aiken, Mary Jean Heriot of Hastings, Neb., Mamie Heriot Morgan and her husband, Franklin, of Taylors, and Don Heriot of Pinewood; five sisters, Barbara Goff Kirven and her husband, Bob, of Pinewood, Charlene Goff Buddin and her husband, Ashleigh, and Sally Goff Yates, all of Sumter, Shirley Goff Scott of Elkins, W.Va., and Wanda Goff McKenzie and her husband, Dean, of Florence; a brother, G.P. Goff and his wife, Karen, of Sumter; three grandchildren, Kyle Heath, Cassidy Burnett and Jackson Burnett; and three step-grandchildren, Benjamin Morgan, Hannah Morgan and Robert Griffin Padgett. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Paul Goff officiating. [3, 5] | |
