COLEMAN Beverly Ann Carter Coleman, 72, wife of Jesse Isiah Coleman, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Jessie Weston Carter and Mamie Elise Griffin Carter. Mrs. Coleman was a member of Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene and was a retired clerk with the Sumter County Family Court. Surviving are her husband of Sumter; two daughters, Gaye Weaver and husband, Rad, of Sumter and Betsy Phillips and husband, Jeff, of Lynchburg; four brothers, J.W. Carter Jr., Herman Carter and Cecil Carter, all of Manning, and Russell Carter of Tennessee; a sister, Linda C. Craft of Manning; and six grandchildren, Tori Weaver, Ethan Weaver, Cole Phillips, Cody Phillips, Cassidy Phillips and Cheyanne Phillips. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Renee Coleman; and two sisters, Gertrude Rowe and Barbara Roberson. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene, P.O.
