| HIST | of Rome, Georgia PATSY BRYANT TANKERSLEY Posted Saturday, July 16, 2022 6:00 am Patsy Bryant Tankersley, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Mrs. Tankersley was born on March 18, 1932, in Rome, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her late husband of 63 years, Charles Eugene Tankersley; and her son, Richard Eugene Tankersley. She was a member of West Rome United Methodist Church in Rome but attended Grace Baptist Church while living in Sumter. She is survived by her son, Charles Lanier Tankersley (Lechia); daughter, Lisa Tankersley Shumake (Steve); four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Georgia Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association Bright Focus Foundation, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871; Grace Baptist Church; or the West Rome Methodist Church.
