Born in Winnsboro, S.C., he was a son of the late Henry Geddings and Jeanette Geddings. Mr. Geddings was a member of Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene and a retired ceramic tile installer. Surviving are two sons, John Geddings III (Tammy) of Sumter and David Geddings (Margaret) of Manning; two daughters, Cale Yates (Josh) of Manning and Angela Geddings (George) of Sumter; one brother, Jack Geddings of Florida; one sister, Doris Beard of Columbia; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Loretta Geddings. He was preceded in death by siblings and a great-grandson, Michael Tripp Langley III. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025, at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025, in the Chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. Burial will follow in Paxville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Hodge, Dusty Hodge, Dalton Hodge, J. B. Hodge, Bobby Fricker and Bubba Preast. Memorials may be made to Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene, P. O.
