Born in Weisbaden, Germany, he was a son of the late Harry Turner Lindley Jr. and Viola Stienike Lindley. Mr. Lindley was a retired self-employed mechanic. Surviving are three brothers, Delbert Lindley of Greentown, Ind., Harry Lindley of Sumter and Bob Lindley of Fayetteville, N.C.; and a sister, Patricia Lindley of Sumter.
