Alsbrook MANNING — Barbara Ann Mitchum Alsbrook, 65, widow of Raymond Alton Alsbrook Sr., died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 1, 1947, in Manning, she was a daughter of Carrie Lee Hodge Mitchum and the late Rubin Mitchum. She was a member of Deep Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by her mother of Manning; her son, Raymond Alton Alsbrook Jr. (Catherine Anne) of Summerton; two daughters, Laura Alsbrook and Aimee McWhite (Cory); a special nephew, Glenn Nathaniel Mahoney; a brother, Joseph Mitchum; three sisters, Almeita Hovermale, Carolyn Melton and Angela Nexsen (Jerry), all of Manning; four grandchildren, Caitlan Alsbrook, Brittani Steen, Justin Alsbrook and Grady McWhite; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Mitchum; and a sister, Debra Mahoney. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Floyd and the Rev. Ashley Brunson officiating. Burial will follow in Deep Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Al Hovermale, Michael Hovermale, Brian Nexsen, Jimmy Mathis, Johnny Alsbrook and Ibra Mathis. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 1614 Peggy Lane, Manning.
