James Edwin Browder, age 76, beloved husband of Sybil McGee Browder, died on Friday, April 29, 2011, at the Hospice House of the Piedmont in Greenwood. Mr. Browder was born on Oct. 8, 1934, a son of the late James and Odessa Browder. He retired from the Sumter Fire Department as a Sr. Engineer. Ed was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to camp. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Rhonda Browder Eron and her husband Thomas of Greenwood; a brother, Cecil Browder and his wife Marie of Sumter; two sisters, Joann Carol and her husband Larry of Dalzell and Ethel Browder of Sumter; two grandchildren, Leslie Eron McAllister and her husband Mitchell of Greenwood and Tommy Eron and his wife Lauren of Fountain Inn; and one great grandchild, Carter Edwin McAllister of Greenwood. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Nell Yates and Dorothy Chaffins. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Rivers officiating. Pallbearers will be; B.G. Baker, Tommy Brown, Wayne Johnston, Johnny Riles, Johnny Roman and Ronnie Wells. Honorary pallbearers will be the Sumter Fire Department and Dr. Mayes DuBose. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 1-2 at Bullock Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the International Firefighters Assistance, Inc., P.O.
