The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Harlston Spann, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Janice Thomas Spann, the late E. Wilbur Spann, the late Wallace Hartwell Marshall, the late Juanita Marshall Shade and the late Glen Henry Shade, all of Sumter. She graduated from Laurence Manning Academy and the University of South Carolina-Upstate with a degree in early childhood education. She is employed by Sumter School District 17 as a kindergarten teacher at Millwood Elementary School and is a dance instructor at Miss Libby’s School of Dance. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Terry Osteen of Sumter, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Osteen of Sumter, Lenza Caffey of Fort Worth, Texas, and the late Mrs. Bettye Lou Page of Fort Worth. He graduated from Laurence Manning Academy. He is employed by Cosmic Printing of Columbia. The Rev. Stephen M. McCormick officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Matthew Murphy, pianist and vocalist, and Marshall Bryant Spann, vocalist. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white strapless, taffeta gown featuring a side drape with a metallic beaded bodice, trumpet skirt and a sweep train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of lilies and pink and yellow roses. Mrs. Leslie Windham Lloyd served as matron of honor, with Emma Leigh Burgess as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jennifer Anne Spann, Mrs. Crystal Dawn Plemons, Mrs. Patricia Trautsch Hiott and Sarah Elizabeth Bell. Kathryn Wallis Spann served as flower girl. The bridegroom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Lenza Eric Osteen, Aaron Mitchell Osteen, Casey Adam Osteen, Spencer Kyle Osteen and Ryan Hartwell Spann.
