DRIGGERS TURBEVILLE – Sarah Elizabeth DuBose Driggers, 85, widow of Joseph Eugene Driggers, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, in Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born Aug. 4, 1922, in Turbeville, she was a daughter of the late Raleigh Ernest and Mary Sudie DuBose. She was a member of Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Jerry Driggers and his wife, Ann, of Turbeville; two daughters, Sybil Coker of Turbeville and Pearl Windham and her husband, Michael, of Oswego; a brother, Linwood "Ham" DuBose and his wife, Lois Ann, of Turbeville; four sisters, Tiny Brown of Turbeville, Alice Welch and her husband, Jackson, of Sumter, Helen Buddin of Gable and Ann Green and her husband, Aubery Dean, of Turbeville; sister-in-law, Annie Rae DuBose of Turbeville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and special friend, Ronnie Shepp of Turbeville. She was preceded in death by a son, William Allen Driggers; a granddaughter, April Elizabeth Windham; a sister, Azalee Welch; and two brothers, Joe DuBose and Leslie DuBose. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Edwards and Jakie Creech officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning and at other times at the residence of Sybil Coker, 3124 Clarence Coker Highway, Turbeville.
