Anderson Roy Howard Anderson, 49, husband of Janice Ruth Thigpen Anderson, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in San Francisco, Calif., he was a son of Robert Newton and the late Gloria Newton. Mr. Anderson was a member of Pinegrove Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of Sumter; his father of Sumter; three daughters, Crystal Anderson, Candy Bailey and Susie Nelson and husband, Bryan; a brother, Calvin Anderson; three sisters, Louann Plum and husband, Curtis, and Tina Newton and Robin Newton; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an aunt, Betty Marx, and an uncle, Kenneth Marx. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Pinegrove Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Riner officiating.
