| HIST | Cameron Gabriel Gainey December 20, 1999 ~ August 23, 2021 (age 21) Sumter, SC…Cameron Gabriel Gainey, age 21, died on Monday, August 23, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Sumter on December 20, 1999, he was the son of Danielle Marie Gainey Held and Jason Paul Held. He will be remembered as a sweet, kind, innocent, and perfect young man, who was a constant source of joy to his family. He enjoyed drinking Mountain Dew with his father, loved watching Grey’s Anatomy and cuddling with his mom. He will dearly be missed by all that knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Tracy Held; grandparents, Claudie B. Gainey, Wayne Gainey, Kimberly Held-Kirk, and Eddie Kirk; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tracy Mark Held. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Berry, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Gainey Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tracy Held, Blaze “Mac” Brown, Jessie James Brown, Keith Brown, Manny Dejesus, and Zayn Dejesus. Honorary pallbearer will be Jason A. Graham. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 27, 2021, one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
