McALLISTER Doris Irick Boykin McAllister, 67, wife of William "Sonny" McAllister, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Grover and Goldie Berry Irick. Mrs. McAllister was a member of Jefferson Road Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of Sumter; two daughters, Tami Burns and husband, Ronnie, of Sumter and Jeannie Palen and husband, Jeff, of Columbia; a stepson, Roland McAllister of Sumter; a stepdaughter, Doris Ann McLeod of Sumter; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Rusty Conyers officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1320 Craig Road.
