TENNANT Posted Friday, February 3, 2017 6:00 am Mary Strickland Tennant, 63, wife of Jerry Tennant, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at her residence. Born in Bishopville, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Blanche Strickland. She is survived by her husband of Sumter; two sons, Raymond Tennant (fianc e Michelle) of Sumter and Jerry Tennant (fianc e Sheryce) of Sumter; a daughter, Mary Gladden (Anthony) of Sumter; a brother, Jimmy Strickland (Jackie) of Spartanburg; a sister, Beth Strickland of Bishopville; and seven grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Michael Tennant; and a sister, Irene Kiester. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Luther Amerson officiating.
