The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. R. Powell Black of Sumter, and the late Donald Wand, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Boyd Riddle of Kershaw. He graduated from North Greenville University with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in accounting. He is employed as a teacher and coach by Laurence Manning Academy.
