The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Jeffords and Mr. and Mrs. L. David Hardee Jr., all of Sumter, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Audrey Alford and the late Howard Alford, Mr. and Mrs. L.D. Hardee Sr., and Mrs. Rosalee Tedder and the late Marion Tedder. She graduated from Sumter Academy and attends the University of South Carolina Sumter. She is employed as a certified pharmacy technician by Prescriptions Inc., Sumter. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Pepin of Sumter, and Jerry K. LaVina of Summerton, and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paige B. Sawyer of Columbia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis M. LaVina of Cheraw. He graduated from Sumter High School. He is the owner of Sun Pools and Spas, Sumter. Mike Alford officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Thommie Jackson, organist; and Tony Hardy, vocalist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white, one-shoulder charmeuse gown featuring a draped empire bust adorned with brooches at the neckline and back, and ending in a sweep train. She carried a bouquet of white cascading lilies and orchids. Ginnie Spiegel served as matron of honor. Kirk LaVina served as best man. Ushers were Trey Hardee, Andrew Squires and Patrick Squires. Also participating were Shelby Hardee, Meredith West, Kim LaVina, Erica Jones, Jackie Benette and Stacy Freeman. The bride's parents held the reception at Swan Lake-Iris Gardens Heath Pavilion. The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at the church. Following a wedding trip to Sevierville, Tenn., the couple resides in Sumter. [2] | |
