The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherwin Timothy Baylor of New Zion, and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John McKuren Johnson Jr., Sherwin Cantley Baylor of Andrews and the late Mrs. Natalie Feagin Baylor. She graduated from Francis Marion University with a bachelor of science in early childhood education. She is employed by Florence School District 3 as a preschool teacher. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Jean Hanna Powell of Scranton and the late Wilbur Bailey Powell, and the grandson of Mrs. Opal McKnight Wise of Lake City, the late Edgar Ray Hanna, James Edward Eaddy of Florence, the late Mrs. Alice Faye Powell Eaddy and the late Curran Bailey Powell. He graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a bachelor of science in physical education. He is employed by Florence School District 3 as a physical education teacher. The Rev. John Driggers and the Rev. Mike Lowder officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Robin Thompson, organist; and Carl Matthew Evans Jr. and Mrs. Dena Proctor Joye, vocalists. Dallas Wendell Robinson served as reader. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a beautiful shirred organza gown featuring a Liz Taylor-inspired sweetheart portrait neckline, a highly decorated bodice that dropped to a basque waistline, crystal beading adorning the front of the A-line skirt and elegant beaded appliques accenting the cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of white vendella garden roses encased in white sheer ribbon. Mrs. Paige Floyd Brown, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kacie Nicole Baker and Elizabeth Grace Reardon, cousins of the bride; Mrs. Lisa Springs James and Mallory Brooke Owens, cousins of the bridegroom; and Mrs. Brandi Driggers Baker, Heather Lynn Cox, Hannah Renee Driggers and Mary Catherine Evans. Junior bridesmaids were Allie Louise Brown and Lacey Michelle Harrington, cousins of the bride. Carley Gracen Baker and Amelia Rose Floyd, cousins of the bride, served as flower girls. William Mark Tilliston served as best man.
