"Windell" Hastie will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. from the Trinity Baptist Church, 155 Wall Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Larry C. Weston, pastor/ officiating. Interment will follow in Bradford Cemetery. A public viewing will be held today from 1 to 5 p.m. at the mortuary. Windoln was born May 29, 1956, in Sumter to the late Eugene and Theola Amos Hastie Sr. In addition to her parents, Windoln was preceded in death by three sisters, Joan Johnson, Sudie Jane Bracey and Inez Hastie. Windoln departed this life on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, in Sumter. She leaves to cherish her memory six sisters, Ronetta H. Bracey, Willie Mae Clea, Janette (Raymond) Sharper, Lucille T. (Robert) Gibson, Georgia M. Rose and Barbara A. (Travis) Pearson; three brothers, Eugene (Retta) Hastie Jr., Robert L. (Jo Carole) Hastie and Kennedy (Lillian) Hastie; two aunts, Gardenia Knox and Catherine Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family is receiving friends at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Travis Pearson, 2260 Libson Drive, Sumter, between the hours of 2 and 7 p.m. daily.
