Born Oct.11, 1923, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Lorenzo Dow Player and the late Gussie Grumbles Player. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Alcolu. She is survived by two sons, Thomas E. "Toey" Lee (Mary) and Joel Richard "Ricky" Lee (Debbie), both of Alcolu; a daughter, Janice Lee Burgess (John), of Fayetteville, N.C.; a brother, Little Dow Player (Patricia), of Eugene, Ore.; five grandchildren, Thomas E. "Tommy" Lee (Mary Lynn), Jennifer Burgess Houser (Sam), David Richard Lee (Elizabeth), James Thomas Burgess (Christina) and Sarah Nicole Marlowe (Justin); and five great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Revs. Gregg Varner and Kirk Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 13773 Plowden Mill Road in Alcolu. Memorials may be made to the Trinity U.M.C. Building Fund, P.O.
