| HIST | JASON C. HOUGH Sr. Jason C. Hough Sr., 28, son of Barbara LeGrant McFaddin and John A. Hough, was born Oct. 31, 1981, in Killeen, Texas. He entered eternal rest on Friday, July 9, 2010, at Carolina Medical Center, Charlotte, N.C. Jason was educated in both private and public school systems of Sumter County and was a 1999 graduate of Lakewood High School. He was a faithful member of Union Station AME Church, where he participated with the audio ministry in taping the worship services. After moving to Gibson, N.C., he attended Union Grove Baptist Church and served as a youth mentor. Loving memories will be cherished by his wife, Tanithia Matthews of Gibson, N.C.; a daughter, Tamia Brian Hough of Columbia; a son, Jason C. Hough Jr. of Manning; three stepchildren, Ebony McIntyre, Deonta Matthews and JaGuavia Matthews, all of Gibson; his affectionate grandmother, Margie J. LaGrant of Sumter; mother, Barbara McFaddin; stepfather, Joddie McFaddin of Gable; a sister, Stacey LaGrant of Gable; paternal grandmother, Annie Hough of Sumter; mother-in-law, Geraldine Matthews of Laurinburg, N.C.; aunts, Rose LaGrant and Beverly LaGrant, both of Sumter, Sylvia LaGrant of Charlotte, N.C., Patty Wilson of Sumter and Gloria LaGrant of Manny, La.; an uncle, Ronald (Angela) LaGrant of Richmond, Va.; sister-in-law, Brandy Matthews of Sanford, N.C.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Century Hough; maternal grandfather, Lewis LaGrant Sr.; and two uncles, Lewis LaGrant Jr. and William J. Johnson. Viewing will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary Inc. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Union Station AME Church with the pastor, the Rev. Dr. Friendly Gadson, officiating, assisted by the Rev. George T. Ellis, the Rev. Hezekiah Ellis and Minister Velda Rucker. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Wednesday for viewing until the hour of service. The family will receive friends at the home, Margie LaGrant, 370 Seminole Road, Sumter, SC 29150.
