She graduated from Crestwood High School and the University of South Carolina with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Linda Tomlinson Beard and the late Thurmon Dargan Beard, and the grandson of Mrs. Dell B. Tomlinson and the late William D. Tomlinson and the late Ruby B. Beard and the late Ivy D. Beard. He graduated from Laurence Manning Academy and Central Carolina Technical College with a degree in environmental engineering technology. He is employed by Charleston Water System. Robert Nance officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Missy Nance and Mark Christmas, vocalists; and Naomi McQuiller, violinist. The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Tiffany McNair served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Altimira Stiverson, Marianne Tyler, and Katie Beard, sister of the bridegroom. Kassidy Beard served as flower girl. Walter Beard, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Shumpert, Jason Brunson, Christopher Crawshaw and Kenneth McInnis, brother of the bride. Ushers were Brandon Johnson and Jay Johnson. The bride's parents held the reception at The O'Donnell House. The bridegroom's mother held the rehearsal party at her home.
